Comprehensive dermatology services available at Marshall Health range from diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of acute and chronic skin conditions, including skin cancers, to cosmetic services that help your skin look younger and healthier.

Medical Services

Our providers offer a full range of skin care treatment, including routine skin exams, chronic skin problems, dermatologic surgery, melanoma treatment and more. We recommend routine screenings for individuals who do not have a history of skin cancer or any suspicious moles or spots. Annual skin examinations include upper body or complete head-to-toe assessments.

Acne: There are multiple treatment options available for patients suffering from acne, especially those with persistent or severe acne. We discuss and educate you on proper skin care, to help avoid breakout, and tailor your treatment specific to your type of acne. Available treatments include topical therapies, oral medication and Isotretinoin therapy for some severe cases.

Dermatitis: This common condition that includes eczema is typically results in an itchy rash on swollen or reddened skin. We identify possible irritants and/or allergens and address treatment with topical modalities, as well as, light therapies.

Hair problems: Many forms of hair problems require clinical care by a physician or other health care professional. If excessive hair or hair loss is impacting your quality of life, we encourage you to talk with your dermatologist about concerns such as alopecia (baldness), hirsutism (excessive hair) and ingrown hairs. 

Psoriasis: Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are common conditions of the skin triggered by infection, stress and the cold. We offer a full spectrum of treatment including topical therapies, UVA/UVB light therapies and systemic therapy, dependent on degree of involvement.

Rosacea: Characterized by redness, pimples, and broken blood vessels, rosacea tends to begin between the ages of 30 and 60. Your dermatologist can diagnose and help you find a treatment regime that helps minimize your symptoms. 

Skin cancers: Skin cancers, such as basal cell, melanoma and squamous cell cancers, can be treated with more success if it’s found early. The way to find skin cancer early is with regular skin exams. This means having a healthcare provider check your skin. And it also means checking your skin at home regularly.

Warts: Warts are noncancerous skin growths caused by the papillomavirus. Warts usually aren't painful, except when located on the feet. Your provider can discuss specific treatment options with you based on the type of wart and your medical history.
