Rational benzodiazepine avoidance and deprescribing

One of the Maier Institute’s primary areas of research focus is the effect of benzodiazepine usage on geriatric patients and patients with dementia. Our early work explores the prevalence of these drugs in elderly populations and how their use effects hospitalization rates and lengths of stay.
