In addition to his roles at Marshall Health and Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Dr. Koester serves as the chief of orthopaedic surgery at Cabell Huntington Hospital.He specializes in surgery of the fingers, hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, including microsurgery and joint replacement surgery.
