The Maier Institute for Excellence in Therapeutics for Elders with Dementia is dedicated to ensuring that every person with dementia receives optimal treatment through our discovery of new knowledge and dissemination of information regarding appropriate therapeutics.
The Maier Institute shall be a comprehensive and accessible source of scientific inquiry and of information dissemination regarding appropriate usage of therapeutic and preventative interventions for all persons with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
Existing knowledge gaps in the basic, translational, and clinical sciences regarding best therapeutic approaches will be identified and projects initiated to address these gaps.
The Institute will engage in collaborative planning with recognized experts and stakeholders, with health care payers, and with practicing physicians to encourage best therapeutic practices for persons with dementia, to address informational needs, and in every way possible to improve the well-being and quality of life of persons with dementia.
