J.T. Schneider, MBA, serves as the assistant dean for sponsored programs & external affairs for the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and Marshall Health. Since joining the organization in 2017, he has held several positions, most recently as director of sponsored programs & research integrity.  In addition, he serves as administrative director of the Maier Institute for Excellence in Therapeutics for Elders with Dementia. 

As assistant dean, J.T. manages the disbursement of external grant funding, works to foster growth in the institutions’ research enterprise and participates in strategic initiatives consistent with the mission of the medical school.  J.T. has been part of the Marshall family for more than 20 years, previously holding roles with the Forensic Science Center and Marshall University Research Corporation. He is a two-time Marshall University graduate, earning a BBA in Finance in 2007 and MBA in 2012.
