Jodi H. Biller, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Clinical Interests

Biller has served an advanced practice registered nurse in the division of pulmonary medicine at Marshall Health since September 2020. She previously worked as a pulmonary APRN at Huntington Internal Medicine Group from 2013-2020. Her patient interests include: all stages of COPD and adult asthma, sleep apnea, chronic hypoxemic and hypercapneic respiratory failure, and pulmonary nodules. Biller has a commitment to her patients and their families developing and maintaining relationships through patient-centered care.

She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 2007 and completed a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing in 2013 from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. She is enrolled at West Virginia University completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice with expected graduation date of December 2021. At present, Biller is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the West Virginia Nurses Association serving on the Health Care Policy and Legislative committee since 2018. Sponsored by ANA, she completed a one-year training course with the American Nurse Advocacy Institute in 2018 that focused on navigating the legislative arena at state and federal levels. She has a passion for population health and healthcare policy and is driven to make changes for APRNs to provide care at the full extent of their scope of practice. Individualized patient centered care is the foundation of her practice. In West Virginia, Biller had two bills sponsored that have become state law. These included no managed care organization can deny payment to APRNs based on having a collaborative agreement and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners are now able to provide counseling to patients with substance use disorder. Through team building and continued relationships Biller works closely with legislative leaders in West Virginia and Washington, D.C. She finds gaps in care and creates workable solutions resulting in superior care for our community.
