Clinical Interests
Dr. Desrosiers is a fellowship-trained, triple-board-certified Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon, dermatopathologist and dermatologist specializing in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. His expertise across these three disciplines enables him to provide comprehensive care—from diagnosing skin disease under the microscope to treating skin cancer with the precision of Mohs surgery and performing reconstructive surgery with exceptional attention to both function and cosmetic outcomes. He believes the best care begins with listening to patients, educating them about their condition and developing a treatment plan together.
Dr. Desrosiers earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine after completing a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi and a bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College, where he was a member of the NCAA varsity swimming team and earned Academic All-America honors. He completed his dermatology residency and fellowship in dermatopathology at Geisinger Medical Center before completing fellowship training in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia. This unique combination of training allows him to care for patients throughout every stage of skin cancer diagnosis, treatment and reconstruction.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Desrosiers remains actively involved in academic dermatology. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to dermatology textbook chapters and presented research at national meetings of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatopathology and the International Society of Dermatopathology. He was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of his academic excellence, leadership and compassionate patient care.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Desrosiers spent two years as a middle school mathematics teacher while also coaching football and swimming. Those experiences continue to influence his approach to patient care. He strives to make medical information clear, approachable and actionable so that every patient feels informed and confident in their care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Desrosiers enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, weightlifting, traveling, following college football, and cooking and grilling for family and friends.
