John R. Castillo, MD

Dr. Castillo is a native of Huntington, West Virginia, where he currently resides with his lovely wife and three sons. Following undergraduate at Ohio State University, Dr. Castillo served in the United States Air Force as a space operations officer. Upon completion of these duties, he graduated from medical school at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Castillo returned to Columbus, Ohio, to complete a residency in family medicine at the Ohio State Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Wake Forest University.

In his free time, Dr. Castillo enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, fly fishing, hiking and tackling DIY projects at home. He is a lifelong fan of Marshall athletics and has since added the Buckeyes and Demon Deacons to his favorite teams.
