Linsenmeyer, an associate professor of cardiovascular services at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, received the 2024 Lifetime Physician Achievement Award from WVACC. He has more than 40 years of experience as an interventional cardiologist. After many years in private practice, he joined Marshall Health in 2023 and sees patients at Marshall Cardiology in Huntington and Point Pleasant. He previously served as governor of the WVACC from 2016 to 2018 and is currently a member of the National Cardiology Data Registry Chest Pain Registry and Advanced Senior Career Professionals Council for the American College of Cardiology.
White was awarded the 2024 Cardiovascular Team (CVT) Member Lifetime Achievement Award from the WVACC. White has cared for cardiovascular patients as a nurse practitioner at Marshall Health since 2004. She is the founding director of the internal medicine nurse practitioner fellowship at Marshall Health, which provides one year of postgraduate training for nurse practitioners in internal medicine, its subspecialities and cardiology. In addition, White served as the WVACC CVT chapter representative and is currently WVACC chapter executive. Nationally, she serves on the American College of Cardiology’s health affairs and curriculum design committees and co-chairs the cardiovascular team advocacy workgroup, the nutrition and prevention workgroup and the cardiovascular team APRN and communications workgroups. Through her work on the nutrition and prevention work group she has several publications on nutrition and cardiovascular health.
Annually, the WVACC recognizes both a West Virginia ACC Physician and a CVT member who have dedicated a lifetime of excellence in cardiovascular medicine. According to the WVACC, recipients embody lifelong excellence and act as a role model in service, basic or clinical research and teaching; leave an impact on peers, learners and/or patients; and demonstrate dedication to the ACC and its WV Chapter.
