Dr. Yinan Wei joins Marshall Surgery

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Yinan Wei, M.D., joins Marshall Health, Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and Mountain Health Network. She also serves as an assistant professor for the medical school.
Wei earned a B.A. in molecular cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and her medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She attended residency training at Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan, and completed a general surgery residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
“We are pleased to add Dr. Wei to our faculty and welcome her skills as a surgeon,” said David A. Denning, M.D., F.A.C.S., professor and chair of the department of surgery. “Our greatest success as a training program for surgeons is bringing on board someone we have taught. It brings our faculty great pride to see a resident physician become a faculty colleague. Dr. Wei’s skills in minimally invasive surgery are excellent, and she is a caring person with an exceptional bedside manner. She is a wonderful addition for the services we provide through Marshall Health and the Mountain Health Network.”
Wei sees patients at Marshall Surgery, an outpatient department of Cabell Huntington Hospital, in the Marshall University Medical Center in Huntington. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques for all general surgery procedures. To schedule an appointment, please call 304-691-1200.
