Anisha M. Joshi, OTR/L

Anisha Joshi, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with 10 years of clinical experience in both acute care and outpatient rehabilitation. She has a strong background in critical care and transplant but now specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation with a particular interest in pregnancy, postpartum and pelvic pain. She joined St. Mary’s Center for Pelvic Health in 2023 and treats pelvic dysfunction in both female and male populations experiencing bladder dysfunction, bowel dysfunction, generalized pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and pregnancy/post-partum related pelvic floor conditions.

She has completed advanced pelvic health training through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Core Exercise Solutions and The Institute for Birth Healing. Her clinical practice incorporates specialized pelvic floor assessment and treatment techniques including: transvaginal and transrectal manual therapy, bowel/bladder health education, birthing preparation, scar massage, training on vaginal dilation therapy, postpartum diastasis recti/pelvic floor rehabilitation, restoring the vital connection and coordination between the diaphragm/pelvic floor/core, progressive strengthening, intrarectal balloon training and biofeedback therapy to optimize functional recovery and improve overall quality of life.

Anisha firmly believes in a collaborative approach to pelvic health, working closely with patients and healthcare teams to provide effective, individualized care. She is deeply passionate about advocating for pelvic health services, minimizing stigmas and empowering her patients to reclaim their roles, routines and overall well-being.
