Hire & Retain a Strong Workforce: Session 1

Thursday, September 24, 2020, 9:00AM - 12:00PM

According to a survey of businesses, employers could be doing more to prevent and respond to substance use. Marshall Health's CORE (Creating Opportunities for Recovery Employment) Program has joined forces with Working Partners® to offer a free, virtual  two-part Employer Technical Assistance Clinic to audit your drug-free policy and operations against best-practice strategies to help boost employee hiring and retention. This six-hour training spans two sessions: Sept. 24 (9 am - Noon) & Sept. 25 (9 am - Noon)

COMMON EMPLOYER QUESTIONS THAT WILL BE ADDRESSED AT THE CLINIC:

  • What drugs should I be testing for?
  • What should my policy include (and not include)?
  • How should I react to a positive test?
  • What are my options if an employee has received permission from their doctor to use marijuana as medicine?
  • Where can I send an employee or their family member for help if they have an alcohol/drug problem?
  • Does alcohol/drug treatment work?

THE COURSE IS OPEN TO:
